UnidosUS Convention

UnidosUS is the largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, working to challenge social, economic, and political barriers affecting Latinos. I was given the privilege to design well outside my comfort zone for the event graphics, as well as lending onsite support for the 2024 Las Vegas convention. The majority of the LED animation support was supplied at 3840x1440, with other support falling into 16x9 for edited pieces. To my surprise, the core background elements proved to be the biggest challenge. The JPEG base was chosen by the Art Director from Adobe Stock, and needed to be recreated and animated to bring the right amount of production value to the event. This was achieved with a combination of precise reconstruction, and JavaScript to enable the rounded “pills” to be responsive and scale like an accordion in response to all sizing changes throughout the animation.
