Collab - Freelance Design Project
Sometimes motion graphic designs are utilized, and sometimes they never see the light of day. Unfortunately, this was one of the latter cases where the project was shut down mid-production. In spite of that, I really enjoed exploring something outside of my comfort zone. The client inspiration was to run with gold and platinum colors, but I felt a purple complimentry color would make a great contrasting element. Given the nature of circles and curves in record shapes and cords, I utilized those to manufacture organic plates both as a logo bed and animated mattes.
The Creative Process
I felt the nature of organic curves would give the graphics the sense of character that you would find in a musical artist. The flowing quality of the shapes seemed like the right element to visually express the nature of music and vocals finding their groove in a melody.
